Hump YardMaster Qualifications/Policy

Hump Yards are divided into two categories...."Classification" and "Industrial"

  • Classification Humps
    • The list on this WIKI page is our "Official" classification Hump Yard List
    • Beginning in July 2009 we are striving to have one player per Hump Yard, anyone having two before this date is to be "Grandfathered" in, but any Hump Yard swapping will count as a NEW yard and therefore that player should relinquish his other Hump.

NOTE: An effort is being made to post all current Hump Yards into the game, this .....as well as the performance of a player at his Yard, and the amount of players wanting to rum a Hump Yard may warrant this policy to change. I will always try to get other players a chance to run a Hump Yard when possible.

  • If you are interested in running a Hump, send me an e-mail titled Hump Yard Request to dlwfan203@yahoo.com

You may request a certain yard if you wish, but you will get a chance at the next yard that comes available. Please do NOT bother YM's on whether or not they are interested in getting rid of their Yard, go thru me.

  • Industrial Humps
    • Yards like Geismar, LA. have a Hump to help sort cars just for the industry of that yard, and do not count towards the one hump policy.

  • YardMaster Qualifications
    • You have to have some experience in gameplay, new members will not get a hump till proven they understand the game.
    • TIME COMMITMENT: You have to be able to work your yard at least 3 times a week, All traffic goes thru hump yards to be redirected to it proper direction/yard, you effect the whole game by your actions .
    • KNOWLEDGE OF ROUTING / GEOGRAPHY: sounds simple ?? surprisingly not......more than a few former YM's have constantly sent traffic in the wromg direction.
